I’m Regan and if you didn’t already notice, I am a wedding and portrait photographer in the central Virginia area! I have lived in New York and the cold state of Maine, but I – along with my handsome hubby Strom and our overly dramatic kitty, Miss Scarlett – now adoringly call this place home!
I am a quirky, passionate old soul with a deep appreciation for dancing in the kitchen, sun showers in the spring and the smell of boxwood on a hot summer day! I love to learn (which would explain the intense amount of history and political books on my shelves!) and though singing has never been my life’s talent, I never stop hoping I’ll wake up one day with a voice that could win American Idol. I am hands down a coffee person, though I am desperately trying to like tea (I just don’t think it’ll ever stop tasting like dishwater…). Dark chocolate is my ultimate weakness…I mean, it’s chocolate. Need I say more?
I’m too competitive for my own good, but I feel it’s never a bad thing to strive to continually grow in life! The 1940’s stole my heart the moment my precious grandpa introduced me to Big Band when I was a child, and I have since often wondered if I was supposed to be alive then instead of now!
I am a follower of Jesus Christ and am so humbly grateful for His hand in my life. All the ups and downs in this world are only an escort to His glory and unending love and mercy. He has placed me in the most incredible family and blessed me with the world’s greatest husband (biased? I think yes!) And I would undoubtedly be lost without them!
My favorite fact about myself is how I met my husband. I was a hopeless romantic with a heart filled with patriotism. He was halfway through a 15-month deployment serving in the US Army in northern Iraq. He was my “adopt a soldier,” we fell in love and after three years of long distance phone calls, 4-day passes and yet another deployment, we were married in Camden, Maine! I am so blessed to be able to do what I do. To be a witness of the most precious moments in others’ lives is truly like nothing else. What an honor it is to be the one behind the lens!
